Lead Researcher, Radow Institute for Social Equity (RISE) – Kennesaw State University

Kennesaw State University (KSU) seeks a nationally renowned scholar and thought leader to join its newly established Radow Institute for Social Equity (RISE) located in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

RISE’s mission is to examine the challenges of social justice, equity, and economic inequality while developing sustainable solutions that address pressing racial and social challenges.

Research is one of the primary means through which RISE will pursue its mission. The Lead Researcher will conduct and disseminate scholarship that will expand opportunities for equity across diverse populations and foster community engagement and dialogue around issues of social justice, equity and race. The individual will play a leadership role in enabling KSU to become an international destination for a broad spectrum of active scholars and educators to work together and develop strategies to advance social justice and equity. 

The strongest candidates for this position will possess a deep understanding of the racial and social challenges that exist in society and how research can advance the cause for substantive change. Evidence of a strong scholarly record in social justice and social equity studies, combined with a successful history of increasingly responsible academic leadership is required.
