Navigation Specialist

We are looking for a Navigation Specialist to work in Multicultural Affairs for Students (MAS). The Navigation Specialist is one several pieces of the Empowering Futures endowment and works withing the WMU Navigator Network.

The successful candidate in this position will continue the groundwork that has been accomplished in the last four years. We are looking for continuation of events like the annual brotherhood and sisterhood summits, state of the student body meetings, and support of student organizations like:

• Young Black Male Support Network
• Honeybee Harmony
• 313 student club
• National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC),
• Black Student Union, and more.

This position also liaises with the Detroit Promise to support Detroit Promise Broncos and creates connections to our local community to expand student support. A successful candidate will be ready to hit the ground running as a part of a team; There will be A LOT of social interaction with students--coaching, events, troubleshooting and overall assisting to remove barriers to help Broncos reach their goals.
