Departmental Overview
University Health Services works to promote a campus that actively cultivates better health and wellbeing. UHS provides comprehensive medical, mental health, insurance, and health promotion services to all Berkeley students, and a variety of health programs for faculty and staff. In addition, UHS encourages and expands wellness opportunities at multiple levels of campus policy, infrastructure, institutional practices, and individual choice.
Position Summary
The Health Educator 4 will lead UC Berkeley in crafting and implementing an effective and comprehensive educational plan that will address the institutional setting for gender expansive care and and instituting a collective impact framework for campus wide wellbeing initiatives. Major functions of the position include coaching, planning, implementing, and evaluating sustainable prevention initiatives; and building and leveraging key partnerships within the university, locally, and nationally. The HE4 is responsible for interventions at the individual, community, organizational, and policy level. The HE4 manages, plans, and administers comprehensive health promotion initiatives for UC Berkeley students with a special emphasis on gender expansive care.
