About This Role
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Kansas State University seeks to fill a nine-month, non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor faculty position. A multi-year position is anticipated but not guaranteed. The focus of this positions will be to deliver high-quality, undergraduate courses that support cognitive and behavioral neuroscience. Some course options include Drugs and Behavior, Behavioral Neuroscience lab, Psychopharmacology, Behavior Modification, Brain Myths: Facts or Fiction.

The Department of Psychological Sciences, which is part of the College of Arts and Sciences, has 20 full-time faculty members and about 500 undergraduate majors. Our teaching faculty focus on excellent teaching (four courses per semester) but also have opportunities for research and service activities. What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
• PhD in psychology or closely related field. ABDs with evidence of substantial progress towards completion will be considered.
The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Evidence of teaching excellence
• Interest in and ability to conduct research, including potential to involve students in research.
