About This Role
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Client Services Assistant to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position is responsible for providing quality client services for the Pet Health and Nutrition Center. Hospital mission includes requirement for providing quality medical services to clients and training for professional veterinary students. Client services must be provided in a professional manner, since first impression of service quality must be established at the time of initial contact to facilitate customer satisfaction, good will, and repeat customer business. Working hours for this position will include Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Worksite Option
This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• One year of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data processing and personal computer usage.
• Experience with hospital management program software, such as Instinct, will be an asset for this position.
• Good public relations skills to include the abilities to communicate professionally under stress.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Computer skills, including knowledge of word processing computer software and medical database programs.
• Ability and skills to efficiently coordinate calls on a multi-line telephone system.
• Ability to collaborate with established procedures, protocol and instruction from supervisor.
• Ability to complete data entry in a computer system accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Ability to apply skills of a service-oriented nature position to the public, faculty and students in order to promote harmonious working relationships and excellent veterinary medical care for patients.
• A bachelor's degree or at least two years of post-high school experience.
Other Requirements:
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license once employed.
