General Accounting and Customer Support Specialist

About This Role
This position will serve as a central contact and resource for the Divisions of Financial Services by advising campus users to reference University and state regulations, providing guidance on varied accounting functions performed within the unit, and sending out needed communication. This position is also responsible for the review and processing of time-sensitive payable documents, overseeing the student workers, and managing the administrative functions for the operations portion of the Division of Financial Services.
Worksite Option
This position is expected to be performed on-site.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
• Requires a high school diploma and six months of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong attention to detail
• Skilled communicator across multiple mediums (Email, phone, writing)
• Strong background in Word, Excel, Adobe and paperless workflow tools
• Adept in being organized and working well under pressure
• Ability to interpret and explain technical and varied rules and regulations to multiple users
• Additional coursework in Business and/or Accounting (or related) is preferred
Other Requirements:
• Daily use of personal computer, telephone, and copier. Work requires repetitive movement in entering general data by manipulation of electronic equipment.
