About This Role:
This position will conceptualize, create, execute, and oversee innovative extension and applied research initiatives focused on sustainable water management, including the Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) and Master Irrigator programs, for crops grown in western Kansas. The position will be in Colby, Kansas. Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to, engaging with producers, consultants, agency representatives, and private industry stakeholders, developing and coordinating extension and outreach activities, assisting with data collection and field activities, assessing and recording the effectiveness and influence of programs, and securing external resource support. Lastly, the candidate will provide leadership to other team members.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Three years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior extension and outreach programming experience.
• Prior experience with acquiring external funding.
• Familiarity with precision agricultural equipment, technologies, and software.
• Experience in irrigated agriculture.

Other Requirements:
